Senior Interiors Director
Originally from Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Margaret moved to Chicago in 1993 and joined the SGA team when it was ten people strong in 2005. In her role as Interiors Director, Margaret is responsible for the design and implementation of the interior architecture for every Studio Gang project, from high-end private residences to mixed-use commercial developments.
Margaret has extensive experience with large-scale urban projects as well as the finely detailed components of custom design. She managed the design and construction of the Columbia College Chicago Media Production Center, and her skill with precise detail is exhibited in the Studio’s Maisonette project. Her current projects include the Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership at Kalamazoo College, Michigan; the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Midwest Office renovation; a private art studio on Michigan Avenue; and the re-invention of a Benjamin Marshall co-op on Lake Shore Drive. She holds a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia.
